What are your goals for your presidency this year?
My goals for this year are to find better ways to connect students through technology and to make the most of our current situation due to the pandemic. I really want students to feel just as involved right now as they would be any other year.
How do you feel about your leadership team?
There’s a lot of new members, but they’ve already shown their commitment just by showing up to meetings. So, I know that together we’re going to get a lot of things done and be a good team in general.
What kind of music do you like listening too?
I love listening to different kinds of music, but my favorite is really anything that has a good bass or background music.
Who are your inspirations?
My grandma and my girlfriend are my inspirations. My grandma is a very hard worker and cares so much about others, and my girlfriend loves trying new things and doesn’t really like to give up on them.
What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is losing bonds with people. I hate when it happens, but there’s not much I can do except to move on.
What motivates you to work hard?
The fact that we don’t know how long our lives are going to be is what motivates me to work hard and put all my effort into what I love or am doing.
How would your friends describe you?
I’m pretty sure they would describe me as caring because I always put others before myself, especially those that I love.
What makes you laugh the most?
My girlfriend’s “amazingly, hilarious jokes,” which are just jokes that are so bad that they’re funny is what makes me laugh the most.
What is one thing you are really bad at?
I’m really bad at swimming. I would drown.
What is one thing you are really good at?
I’m really good at making myself laugh. Also, making a goal and sticking to it is something that I’ve been really good at.
What shows are you binge-watching?
I don’t have TV streaming services anymore, but I loved watching The Good Place. It’s cool to see other people’s perspectives on what the afterlife would be like.
What is your favorite season?
It’s been a while since I watched it, but the season where they find out the truth about the whole plot is great.
Who are some of your favorite teachers?
Some of my favorite teachers are Ms. Hyatt from McKee Middle School because she was there for me whenever I needed anything, Mr. Luis Jauregui because he has honestly been one of the best teachers that I’ve had, Ms. Brown because she just knew how to light up a room, and I honestly have many more.
What has been your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school has always been math because it quite literally has solved so many problems and can lead to the discovery of new things.
