As the start of the sport season nears, the hoops duo Olivia and Kaylee Golleher are excited to add one more sister to the Centennial High girls basketball family.
Madisyn Golleher joined her two older sisters at Centennial this year and now all three of the Golleher sisters will play basketball for the Golden Hawks.
“I’m excited to play for Centennial, and see what it’s like to play sports with my sisters,” Centennial High freshman Madisyn shared. “My sisters are my forever friends, and that should always be protected.”
Olyvia and Kaylee are both varsity returners for the girls basketball team, and have been an integral part of the program.
“One of my favorite memories of playing with my sister is when we are able to assist each
other, and can hype each other up after a good play,” said senior captain Olyvia.
Kaylee agreed and added that “You know there is always someone there to talk to no matter what.”
When asked if they had any advice for other sibling that plays a sport together, they all shared
the same sentiment, “You should treat your sibling as a teammate on the court, and always treat them with the same respect as you do others.”
The Golleher siblings hope to be able to apply those principles on the basketball court together again soon.
