Noel and Alaina Romero are siblings who hoped to continue their family's legacy at West High School. "A lot of our family has graduated from West. Our mom, our aunt, our cousins, and our older sister have all attended. We wanted to keep the tradition in our family going," shares Alaina, a junior at West High.
The siblings eagerly joined the Viking Family, and both participate in many clubs and athletics that are offered on campus. "We are both in FFA and AVID. Noel is a senior, and he plays football, and I am in track and field," said Alaina. The pair decided to join FFA together in order to learn more about animals, and to explore science hands on.
When Alaina and Noel are not participating in sports or clubs at school, they are creating memories together. They note a favorite memory as a time that they went to the beach and tried to swim over large waves as they rippled through the water. Family is important to the Romeros, whether it be each other, or their Viking family. They are happy to keep their family tradition alive at West High School.
